This u-value calculator is aimed at professionals in the construction industry who require quick and accurate u-value calculations. The app allows the user to calculate the effect of bridged layers and also takes into account internal and external resistances. The app has a table of conductivities for common construction materials and from this you can build up the layers of your construction for walls and roofs. - Calculates u-values for floors, walls and roofs. - Handles bridged layers which occur when you have insulation in between studs or joists. - Can compare your u-value with the statutory ones for Ireland and the UK. - Can email the u-value and construction details to colleagues.
